Becoming a mum is a scary, yet exciting journey. One of the things I always thought about was lullabies and music that my child would listen to. Even when you are pregnant, they tell you about the benefits of music, in the womb, and once they’ve entered the world.

I always wondered about this, as I grew up in the 90s, with grunge, rock and heavy metal, and those are my bread and butter still today. I do also like classical, as I grew up playing the piano, but I only listen to the earlier genres. I started to wonder if my baby would like this or not.

Well, I was very excited to have my problems solved for me, when I came across Jammy Jams! This album has a selection of 90s hits, but they’ve all been converted in to soft, mellow tones of a lullaby, whilst still carrying the great tune I know from my youth.

From artists like No Doubt and Alice in Chains, you are treated to a blast from the past, whilst baby falls asleep, and you actually get to have songs you don’t mind listening to over and over again. Win win!

I must say, I am thoroughly enjoying this album and the fun it brings, and definitely recommend it to those who want something a little different for their daily baby routine. Jammy Jams have got a brilliant way of mixing each song and each is brilliant!
